NotebookLM "Deep Dives" into my research articles.
NotebookLM is a free service (as of February 2025) from Google, that allows anyone to upload up to 50 documents (PDF, text files,…
In particular, one of the fun features of NotebookLM is its ability to generate an imaginary conversation between two protagonists about these documents.
I have used this feature to obtain a lay-person's overview of some of my current and past research articles and found out that, even though they might miss some of the technical details, these discussions are in general fairly entertaining, while faithful to the original material... up to a certain point.
Some of the imaginary applications of these studies are frankly science-fictional and sometimes hilariously fantastical.
But who knows, maybe not?
