I recently visited the Pinglin Tea Museum and was totally amazed by its interactive and thought-provoking exhibitions. It is one of the world’s largest tea museums and is built using Fujianese architectural design, with a large circular courtyard along with long halls, round doors, and bamboo forests.

I can always recall fondly the first time I saw a real classical Chinese garden in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, not just from a TV sitcom, such as Dream of the Red Chamber. I was obsessed with that type of southern garden setting ever since then. I liked that everything in the garden was thoughtfully designed with a curved, seemingly natural path where streams and flora could be admired. If you are also a fan of classical Chinese gardens, you can’t miss the Lin Family Mansion and Garden in Banqiao.

My mom used to read the Mandarin Daily News to me when I was in kindergarten and elementary. She would read many stories and articles along with idioms for me everyday after she got off work.
