「"that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles."」　Amen.

　In this scene, the apostle Paul speaks to King Agrippa. Herod Agrippa II was the last ruler from the Herodian dynasty, part of Palestine at that time. His great-grandfather, Herod the Great, actually met Jesus. His father, Herod Agrippa, and his granduncle Herod Antipas, also heard the gospel, but did not respond to it. They couldn't get eternal life.

『神は、罪を知らない方を私たちのために罪とされました。それは、私たちがこの方にあって神の義となるためです。』　（Ⅱコリ5:21）【新改訳2017】

　罪とは、神から離れる事であり、義とは神に戻ることです。その橋渡しをするのがイエス様なのです。人間は、神から離れ罪を犯してしまいました。その罪を贖うためには、罪のない人が必要なのです。それが、神の子なるイエス様なのです。そして、私たちの身代わりに十字架に架かって、罪を贖ってくださいました。それを信じることで義と認められるのです。

　今日も、主の愛と義に触れることができますように・・・。

「For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.」　Amen.

Sin is separation from God and righteousness is returning to God. Jesus is our Bridge to God. Humans have sinned away from God. We need an innocent person to atone for our sin. He is Jesus, the Son of God. And he was crucified on our behalf and atoned for his sins. God counted us as righteous when we believe this.

May you touch the love and righteousness of the Lord today as well.

「O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?」　Amen.

　This is a letter written by Paul, but even the apostle Paul who was saved from Jesus, had fierce spiritual battles and did not always win. He agreed to God's command, but realized that he could not obey. This sentence describes Paul's state of mind. And he remembered again that Jesus saved him from sin.

『私は本当にみじめな人間です。だれがこの死のからだから、私を救い出してくれるのでしょうか。』　（ロマ7:24）【新改訳2017】

　これは、パウロが書いた手紙ですが、イエス様から救われた使徒パウロでも、霊的戦いは熾烈なものでいつも勝利するわけではありませんでした。神の命令に賛成はするが、なかなか従えない自分を発見するのです。この一文は、パウロの心の状態を吐露したものです。そして、イエス様によって、罪から救われた時のことを改めて思い出すのです。

　今日も、主の平安に満たされますように・・・。

「"Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.」　Amen.

When Jesus was crucified, the disciples fled and he died in agony. We have been saved, and we have become friends of Jesus. In this world, Even when I feel alone, Jesus is by my side. You are not alone.

May we walk with the Lord today as well.

　イエス様が十字架に架かられた時に、弟子たちは逃げ去り、苦悶の中で死に至りました。そのことによって、私たちは救われ、イエス様が友となってくださいました。この世にあって、たとえ、一人きりであっても、イエス様はいつもそばにいてくださいます。一人ではないのです。

　今日も、主と共に歩むことができますように・・・。

『しかし、彼を砕いて病を負わせることは【主】のみこころであった。彼が自分のいのちを代償の

ささげ物とするなら、末長く子孫を見ることができ、【主】のみこころは彼によって成し遂げら

れる。』　（イザ53:10）【新改訳2017】

　神様のみ心は、私たち人間を救うことでした。罪を贖う為には、罪のない人が身代わりとなって死ぬしか方法がありませんでした。その計画を成し遂げる為に、神の御ひとり子イエス様が、人となってこの世に降りてこられ、十字架に架かり、死んで葬られ、三日目によみがえる、このことを信じることによって罪赦され、神様の前に立つことができるようになったのです。

　今日も、神様の前で心を注ぎだすことができますように・・・。

「Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him;He has put Him to grief.When You make His soul an offering for sin,He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.」 Amen.

　God's will was to save us humans. The only way to atone for our sin was an innocent man would die on behalf of the sin. In order to fulfill the plan, Jesus, the only Son of God, descended into the world as a man, was crucified, died and was buried, on the third day He rose again from the dead. When we believe it, we are forgiven and can stand before God.

　May we pour out our heart in front of God today as well.

『心の貧しい者は幸いです。天の御国はその人たちのものだからです。』　（マタ5:3）【新改訳2017】

　山上の垂訓の一節です。「心の貧しい者」「悲しむ者」「迫害されている者」は幸いだと説いています。何だか逆説的な感じがしますが、そういう人の所にこそ、イエス様は来てくださるのです。それは、今の暗い世界がイエス様の新しい光によって、新しい世界がもたらされるということなのです。

今日も、主の光に照らされますように・・・。
