探視生病或受傷的人時，可以跟對方說I hope you get better/well soon.，或是用另外一個比較難的recover這個字，說成I hope you recover quickly.。還有，不妨送一張上面印有慰問詞的get-well card。
到醫院去探視病人時，最好帶束鮮花和卡片。至於吃的東西，倒不用考慮。
我前面一再強調，別人對我們的好意、同情和關懷，要馬上用Thank you.來答謝對方。
對話中的coming all the way，是「專程而來」的意思，可以用在許多方面:
 
My father came all the way here just to see my teacher.
(爸爸專程來和我的老師見面。)
Michael went all the way to the river.
(麥可大老遠到那條河去。)
I drove all the way to San Francisco.
(我大老遠開車到舊金山去。)
