Hey there XRadioX fans! 

It's been a few minutes since Matt and I remembered we had a podcast.  You can really tell in the beginning but we collected ourselves and got this fun interview underway.  We sat down with our old friend Dave Cole, live from his basement.  We touched on how Dave joined the X, his time in the West Hall studios and how he transitioned from 'Big Steve' to the Toaster.  Dave has arguably the most unique story about joining the X I've heard so far.  So carve out some time and enjoy us talking to Dave while he enjoys a pumpkin beer and lets kick off the Fall together here on XRadioX!

It’s Episode 18!!!  We’re finally legal!  Our podcast can finally buy smokes!  To celebrate us being 18 we have a great catch up with the one, the only…. Bridgette!  She was our manager, sometimes mentor, supplier of smokes by the bench and she was always our friend!  In this episode she gives us the okay to use the seven deadly words, we discuss prison mail and it’s consequences,  never playing cool enough music for JB and that one night we got drunk at her grandmas.  Take a listen and I hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!

It’s Episode 16 and XRadioX is officially old enough to drive!  We were going to have a sweet sixteen party for XRadioX but due to certain restrictions we had to cancel.  We had a punch ready to serve, those fancy little sausages in a crock pot and some puppy chow to send home with guests.  I mean what is a sweet sixteen without puppy chow!?!  Matt and I had even rented the Dumb & Dumber replica tuxedos for the occasion.  But whatever…  We’ll get over it.

So instead of all that we decided to do a covers episode to help cope with our disappointment.  We talk some of our favorite covers from artists like Ash, The Pet Shop Boys, The Jim Carrol Band, Garth Brooks, Loggins and Messina, Paul Simon, Elvis, David Bowie, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Bay City Rollers, John Denver and a few others.  The one tie that binds these all is they are songs we either played in our days at Radio X or would’ve definitely played at the good old X.

In this episode, Jayce and Matt try a new game they are calling "High, Drunk or Genius?" They each bring some songs that they find interesting, and discuss whether the artist was high, drunk, or genius when creating the song in question.  It's fun! The game includes The Dead Milkmen, The Doors, Bowling For Soup, Sly and the Family Stone, and many others.  Most of the time the answer is 'drunk,' but you'll have to tune in to find out for sure!  Then they fanboy out about the indie podcasts they have been listening to and/or meeting on Twitter.  Also, Dee Snider is their new best friend.

Hey there xRadiox fans!  It's Episode 13!  We were going to jump right to 14 from 12 like fancy big buildings do but we are neither buildings nor fancy so 13 it is.  On this special 13th episode we have one of our old co-workers Stone Cold Jim Bollinger on with us.  He was our Manager.  He was our drinking buddy.  He is our friend.  We reminisce with Jim about the good ol days.  You know the days when Jim doesn't fire Jayce because he said strawberries and sh!t on live radio.  Or the days when Jim constantly yells "Boat Drinks" as his request at Jim & Ray at The Northwoods.  Or the days when Jim almost dies getting the scoop with Prufrock on the aliens that are helping frame a local Palmer resident.  Basically this was all in a days work when you worked at Radio X in the mid to late 90's with us.  Good times.  Yes indeed...  Good times.  We also plug one of our new podcast friends over at Next On Stage One, which is a fun (and inside look) at the adult nighclub scene in Denver.  Plus I admit to liking the Drivers License song.  Somedays I'm just a lovesick teenager at heart ya'll.

In this megazord-sized episode, Jayce and Matt discuss  all their favorite old radio programs. They also disrupt the space/time continuum and leap forward somewhere in the middle of the episode. See if you can hear the splice! Jayce decides to dust off the bass guitar and get the band back together, and Matt gets mad at Everclear for ruining their own music. All that and they try to keep their composure after discussing Vanity 6 and the origin of their name. Welcome to Season 2!  This is the episode where Matt and Jayce begin to school you on formats, radio formats.  You know...  The radio...  The thing in your car that plays specific groupings of music when your smart phone isn't playing this podcast.  The classic rocker that plays the rock music you smoked to in the parking lot in high school.  Or the CHR station that's playing ALL the hits you pretend you hate but know all the words to because of your kids.  Or the AC station with the cool Quiet Storm mix in the evening to get your groove on to but is kid gloved for your at work fun during the day.   The Morning Zoo's!  The Shock Jocks,!  THE RADIO!!!  The thing that brought these two great hosts together.  Radio...  Some. One. Still. Loves. YOUUUUU!!! (Sing that last part like Freddy Mercury)

Fun Fact: Quiet Storm is my secret favorite radio format.  Babyface, Al B Sure!, Jodeci, Keith Sweat, Teddy Pendergrass...  Am I right?  The Doctors of Love would approve.
