  • Phillip Killary On The Dakota Pipeline- Peaceful Protector
Trouble has been brewing at the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe opposes the Dakota Access Pipeline, which is a $3.8 billion oil pipeline that would run through four states. Protestors say that the pipeline will disturb sacred sites and contaminate drinking water. Last weekend, the tribe asked for an emergency halt to the project. A decision will be announced on Friday.
In the studio today is Phillip Killary, an activist who just returned from the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. He’s here today to tell us about the protest, and a rally happening here in Portland on Friday.
