Shayne has been involved in the formation of evangelists in many parts of the world. He will share insights gained over years of experience and from a variety of cultures as to the formation of evangelists and how an evangelist remains on the cutting edge.

Shayne is Moderator of Emmanuel Community (Brisbane) and was the Executive Director of NET Ministries in Australia for 18 years. He has been involved in evangelisation for over 30 years and has ministered the Gospel on every continent, working in the areas of mission and discipleship of young people both locally and internationally.

So why are men walking away from Church and why does it seem more difficult to bring men to Christ? What is it that guys are looking for? How can we successfully encourage men to embrace a relationship with God ?

In 2003 Robert co-founded menALIVE: a national Catholic ministry to men. In this mission he has helped to present and run more than 65 events in 18 dioceses in Australia and NZ to more than 4500 men. Robert has been married for 27 years to Alicia and has 4 children (Isaac, Matthias, Chiara & Shem). He is a full time volunteer worker in the area of mission in the Catholic Church.

This workshop explores the role of the Holy Spirit, who He is, how He acts and how to respond to his action in our lives. It is also presents an opportunity to deepen your personal relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Lucy Grasso, Coordinator, Catholic School of Evangelisation (Sydney), a school formed for the purpose of developing a mission mentality within parishes by offering parish-based formation programmes. 40 Days for Life is a powerful new pro-life initiative, conducted this year in the heart of Sydney for the duration of the Lenten season. Fr Peter Murphy is the parish priest of Holy Spirit Church, Lavington, Albury, NSW. His past positions include Vice Rector of the Diocesan Seminary of Wagga Wagga and Youth Chaplain of the Diocese. He completed a doctorate in Moral Theology in Rome whilst working for the Vatican in the Congregation for the Missions. He has been a lecturer in philosophy and moral theology at Vianney College for the last sixteen years and is a visiting lecturer for the John Paul II Institute on Marriage and the Family.

This workshop explores the oft neglected element of evangelisation: intercession. We will discover why it is crucial to intercede and learn some methods of intercession.

Kate has been a member of the Missionaries of God’s Love since 1996 and in that time has worked as a university chaplain and in youth leadership programmes. She has been the coordinator of intercession for the Disciples of Jesus Community in Melbourne. Currently she is the Formation Director for the MGL sisters, studying counselling and helping develop the formation programme for Disciples of Jesus in Canberra.
