Tropics Again Becoming More Active; Fire Weather Concerns Linger Across the West and Plains - While mainly tranquil weather will prevail for much of the country through Tuesday, critical fire weather conditions are forecast from the Rockies into the Plains. Elsewhere, periods of heavy rainfall are expected for parts of Florida. The tropics have become more active and impacts along portions of the Gulf Coast are possible toward the end of the week.

Over the next few days, the Western Ridge/Eastern Trough pattern aloft will deamplify, allowing the subtropical ridge to rebuild along the Gulf coast. - South of the subtropical ridge, Tropical Storm Gamma and a tropical disturbance along its eastern flank across the Caribbean will send moisture up to a front initially stuck across southern Florida, which returns northwest in earnest on Monday night/Tuesday morning.
