YA GIRL'S KDrama Podcast

Christina & Elle are going WAY back for their newest Throwback Series with the 2007 K-drama classic Coffee Prince! ☕️👑

In the first two episodes, they meet Go Eun-chan, a hardworking young woman who is often mistaken for a man, and Choi Han-gyeol, a wealthy chaebol trying to avoid the blind dates his grandmother keeps arranging. When their paths cross, Han-gyeol—believing Eun-chan is a man—hires her to pretend to be his boyfriend and scare off his potential matches. 😂

Christina & Elle chat about their first impressions, the VERY 2007 of it all, the characters, and whether this K-drama classic has them hooked after just two episodes.

Never seen Coffee Prince? Watch along with Christina & Elle! And for those who have, take a trip down memory lane as the ladies revisit this K-drama classic. ☕️

Maddie & Christina are FINALLY back to finish their Throwback Series on Shopaholic Louis! 🛍️

And, well…there’s a reason it took them a little while to get here. The second half of this drama was BRUTAL to get through. 😭 Christina has THOUGHTS, and she has to ask: could this possibly be the worst drama she’s ever seen…EVER?!

The ladies break down the final stretch of the drama—all the absolutely random things that happened, why the second male lead is constantly GROWLING whenever he doesn’t like something, and at what point the audience should become genuinely concerned about the number of times Louis gets hit in the head. 🫠

Was there anything they actually liked? (Maddie can answer this one for the team.) Did the ending redeem ANYTHING? And most importantly…was Shopaholic Louis worth the throwback?

Tune in for the FINAL review of Shopaholic Louis! 🎙️🛍️

Sooo, are you Team Chan or Team CEO???

….

Or. TEAM. ROY??? Always team Roy. 💕🥹🥹🥹

….

D.N.X.  D.N.X!

Maddie and Elle are here to talk their new favorite 3rd gen boy group, DNX!!!! + this drama too I guess LOL

…

Just kidding, today the girls are here to chat one of their favorite dramas from this year, “My Bias, My Boss”! This show was surprisingly amazing for an idol drama, especially since the first couple of episodes did not encourage their confidence. 😂 But this kdrama got steadily better every episode, and the last scene was actually the best of the entire show.

…

My Bias, My Boss is a 12-episode KDrama that just aired this summer. It follows Nam Da-reum, a spunky and bubbly fan of kpop group D.N.X., as she follows member Lee Chan to the clothing company he founded. Expecting Lee Chan to be her boss, she’s initially disappointed to realize that the actual CEO is not Chan but Kang Ha-gi, a cold but (super sweet) childhood friend of Chan’s.

DNX LIVE REUNION TOUR WHEN????

….

Maddie and Elle are here to talk the first two episodes of the new idol rom-com “My Bias, My Boss”! While they always love idol shows (bonus points if there’s a fake idol group - CHECK), they can’t figure out if they can bias Lee Chan due to his high flirt levels LOL

.....

But, let’s be real, this show might have the making for an A+, unserious, kdrama romcom.

• Chaotic FL? CHECK

• Non-celebrity ML in a 3-piece suit that she’ll choose instead of the famous idol she thinks she loves? CHECK

• Secondhand embarrassment off the charts? CHECK CHECK CHECK

….

We hope you enjoy this Through Two, and let us know on our Discord channel if you’re watching, too!!

Christina & Maddie are back to review Season 1 of Yumi’s Cells!

Maddie got HOOKED on this series after watching Season 3 first, and she's been going back to experience the first installment of this sweet K-drama.

Season 1 follows Kim Yumi (Kim Go Eun – Goblin, The King: Eternal Monarch), whose tiny brain cells hilariously guide her every emotion, decision, and overthinking moment. When Yumi meets Goo Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun – Itaewon Class, Her Private Life), she begins opening her heart again.

In other words, the ladies didn't seem to mind Wung's earnest and genuine personality... even if he showed up to their first date wearing flip-flops, shorts, and a T-shirt. 😂

What do neck massagers, missing brothers, bedazzled underwear, hockey portraits, and pain relief patches have in common?

This drama, you guys. This drama.

…..

LOLOLOLOL Maddie and Christina are here for a midway review of Shopaholic Louis, the 2016 kdrama MASTERPIECE starring Seo In-guk and Nam Ji-hyun. This show is 100% not Christina’s cup of tea in any way, and that makes it really funny. Maddie likes it because it’s 12 levels of ridiculous + also Seo In-guk. Obviously.

For this review, enjoy Maddie defending this drama for 54 minutes straight HAHAHAHAHA

…..

Elle and Maddie are here to chat Sold out on You, the new Ahn Hyo-seop kdrama and may we say his hair looked greatttttttttt. Farm asthetic was 10/10 (and Maddie’s not usually into that kind of thing)

….

Was this kdrama objectively good? Ummmmmm

But Elle got through on 1.5 speed and Maddie declared it her drama of the year before realizing it’s actually 4th on the list out of like 5. Whoops.

….

Enjoy the girls chatting up this drama, and we hope it gives you a good laugh!
