Buckle up for a full to the brim YACRadio show 7! We had so many things to tell you that it was a challenge to fit all in, but we did it and here it is.

Your host this week is our wonderful Max, who you may recognise as the voice of the Airborne book review. First up is a behind the scenes report at a rehearsal for Byron Youth Theatre’s new production called ‘How on Earth – part 2’, which addresses the phenomenon of eco-anxiety.

Then you will hear an interview with The Buckleys who are an up-and-coming band, that will be playing at the Great Southern Night Gig (click the link and get your tix). You will also hear their fresh new song ‘Breathe’. Following the music is a report from the Save the Koalas protest held by the students of the Byron Community Primary School that was supported by the Bangalow Koalas group.

Always Was and Always Will Be ..... This is the YAC Radio NAIDOC special

This week Cinnamon and Kimmy host our packed show!

There is an interview with Lindy Lou about the Great Southern Nights, which is a free mini festival at the Byron Youth Service centre with live music from The Buckleys, Jack Botts and a bunch of young talented musicians like Jake Harpaz, Georgia Cummins and more!

Max’s book review segment Airborne analyses the book Five Little Liars by Amanda K. Morgan, and then we hear from the young people who performed on the 1st November at the Poets Out Loud online youth poetry slam.

We also have the gig guide and a ‘you heard it heard first’ interview with Mia about the new Rainbow Youth Group happening at the BYS. The music this week is getting you excited about the Great Southern Nights gig featuring the song Run by The Buckleys and Hold On by Jack Botts.

This week on YAC Radio our host is Sophie (13 yrs).

For the first time we have Max (14yrs) giving a book review for the book The Brain Finds a Leg by Martin Ed Chatterton, his segment is called Airborne, based of this podcast BookBorne.

Then tune your ears into the Byron Youth Theatre with some radio theatre! The piece was written for How on Earth Part 1 Theatre production, funded by Byron Council performed in local high schools and the Brunswick Picture House is August this year and this recording was done by First BYT class for YAC radio.

Enjoy the first-ever YAC Radio - Bay FM’s new youth show!

The host this week was Chiara (15 yrs), who does a wonderful introduction and summary of the show! The show debuts 3 songs by Molly Jane which were recorded during the Byron Youth Live Music Sessions. This week you will also enjoy the Youth Gig Guide, and an audio segment about the Haven girls group that is at the BYS on Tuesdays for girls 13-17yrs.
