For the most part the Church of God is in a nonbiblical spiritual mess!  There is a lot of 'church' stuff going on...and yet, there is not much biblical Truth being taught.  At least, nothing much beyond the third-grade thinking and processing level.  This is not a new 'problem' with God's people. In the Old Testament the Lord quite often had to discipline His children for refusing to learn His commandments...and then to do as He said.  And for the most part...today's Church is doing the same thing.  Many Believers today just do NOT know their Scriptures very well. And because of that, there is a lot of false teachings (i.e. 1/2 truths and non-church age doctrines) flowing from the pulpits and the pews these days.  It seems to me that many of God's people today are content believing whatever seems right in their own eyes....AND/OR...believing whatever makes them 'feel good' about their 'relationship' with God.  And sadly, all this non-biblical, self-centeredness has caused many Believers to 'drift away' from the sound doctrines of God's written Word for the Church.

Sadly, many in the Church are foolishly (and ignorantly) taught that there is nothing that they can personally choose to do (in their own minds and in their own strength) which will please the Lord!   That idea is not only idiotic it's moronic!  From the beginning of the Scriptures until the very end we read of example after example of God holding HIS CHILDREN accountable for their behaviors!  From the beginning of the Scriptures until the very end we read of example after example of God holding HIS CHILDREN accountable for choosing to either do good (i.e. righteous) things of the Lord... or for choosing to do bad (i.e. unrighteous) things that the Lord did not want them to do!   The ridiculous idea that God's people do not have the ability to choose to do those things which please our Heavenly Father is so absurd...it's almost laughable! The Lord would not have punished Adam and Eve IF it was not their decision to disobey Him!  God would not have punished all those Believers who died in the desert...IF it was not their decision to disobey Him! The Nation of Israel would not have been 'cut off' from the Lord IF it was not their choice to reject their Messiah!  I could go on and on and on with examples of God punishing or disciplining His children because THEY CHOSE (for whatever sinful reasons) to disobey God's simple commandments!  The Great I Am never blamed the Holy Spirit, or Christ or the Apostle Paul or Peter for sinful choices His children made!   

Yeshua Christ said that IF I am NOT a part of your spiritual life...you will NEVER accomplish those things which please the Father. What Christ was NOT saying, was that He Himself would DO everything (that was seen as righteous (by the Father)) for God's people! God as always been about His people choosing to DO those things which please Him.

1 Timothy 4:6,10,11 ----In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following.  For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
Prescribe and teach these things Timothy.


Ephesians 5:8-10, 14-17 ---- For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live like people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.  Carefully determine what pleases the Lord......for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said,
“Awake, O sleeper,
rise up from the dead,
and Christ will give you light.”
Living by the Spirit’s Power
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

I am afraid there are many foolish Believers in the Churches these days! 

Brethren, there are LOTS of reasons WHY the Lord does NOT want His children spiritually and/or legally joined together, or in a legal union, or in a binding agreement with Unbelievers!
One of the most obvious reasons is that LIGHT and DARKNESS should NOT be united together for and in any cause! Another reason is that God knows that 'bad company' always corrupts good morals. Even those Believers with the best of intentions! The ONLY THING that this world really has to 'offer' Believers is an opportunity to witness to the Lost.

Now the Good Lord is NOT commanding His children to have nothing to do with the people or all the ways of this world. To do that we would have to leave this world. Our Heavenly Father recognizes that His children have to work with or under unsaved people; live in the same areas as unsaved people; go to doctors and dentists who are Unbelievers, shop at places owned by unsaved people, etc. etc.  However, our Heavenly Father DOES have serious issues when His children spiritually or legally or even physically JOIN themselves TOGETHER WITH (i.e. 'allow themselves to be hitched up together') with people of the darkness. The Bible commands that there should be NO binding or legal or agreements or contracts between Believers and Unbelievers.  And IF we truly trusted our Heavenly Father...we would know that He wants us to do this for our own spiritual well-being!  

Numbers 33:55-56 ----But if you fail to drive out the pagan people who live in the land, those who remain will be like splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will harass you in the land where you live. And I will do to you what I had planned to do to them.”

Brethren, God definitely doesn't want His children chopping off the heads of the Unbelievers around them. However, He most definitely does NOT want His children 'teaming up with' a people who do NOT know our God, and who do not agree with the ways of our God!

Sadly, many in the Church are no longer 'listening' for, or 'hearing" the Lord thru His written Word.  Many of God's people are looking for a God that they can literally touch...or feel touched by.    And that's because way too many Believers are trying to 'live' their spiritual lives thru their spiritual experiences...instead of thru a knowledge of God's written Word.  For many Believers the "living and active" Word of God comes in a distant third...to their spiritual feelings and then their spiritual experiences.   
Brethren, God's written Word is ALL we get today. And even then...Believers need to have enough spiritual discernment to know what parts of that Sacred Book are for God's people in the Church age.  There's a reason why the Lord is no longer audibly speaking to the Church. And I believe that reason is that everything He has for us is already written down in the instruction Book of the Bible.  I personally believe that many Believers are NOT hearing from the Lord because they stopped looking for Him thru His written Word.  

Psalms 119:105 ----- Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Brethren, once we get to the 'other side' it's NOT going to go well simply because we were born-again at some point in our lives.  All Believers will end up at the Judgment Seat of Christ to be judged for the good or bad works that we did. However, not all children of God are going to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (from the Lord) at their eternal judgment.  If God's people want to be honored or rewarded at the Judgment Seat of Christ, they need to be found (by the Lord) to be faithful. And not only faithful, but faithful to God's written Word! This world is loaded with Church-goers who are very faithful...they're just not very biblically faithful.  In the end...it's NOT how we started out in our new life in Christ that's going to earn a Believer kingdom rewards or honors. It's how we finish our Christian life which will determine that.  Our initial faith in the Gospel of Christ didn't earn us or merit us any heavenly rewards.  A Believer's initial faith in the Gospel of Christ keeps them out of hell. However, our faith in the Gospel of Christ is no guarantee that we'll hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant" at our judgment. At the Judgment Seat of Christ, Believers will be rewarded or unrewarded; honored or rebuked; praised or condemned based on how well their good works hold up against the judgment fire testing by the Lion of Judah!
    
These next verses show the eternal benefits of being found to be a faithful Believer...and the eternal consequences of being found to be an unfaithful Believer! 
Matthew 24:45-51 ---- A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them. If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. I tell you the truth, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns. But what if the servant is evil and thinks, ‘My master won’t be back for a while,’ and he begins beating the other servants, partying, and getting drunk? The master will return unannounced and unexpected,  and he will cut the servant to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (There will be NO eternity spent in the "Joy of the Lord" for this carnal Believer!)

If you're a Believer who does NOT know your Scriptures very well...these three podcasts about being aware of the false prophets and false teachers in the Church are going to sound like the spiritual ramblings of some 'weird', bitter, Bible conspiracist. On the other hand, IF you are a Believer who loves the Truths of Scriptures...you'll be saying AMEN! thru-out these podcasts because you already know that I am right about what I am sharing in all my podcasts.  I know that there are very few Believers left out there in Christendom who are genuinely committed and faithful to God's written Word that applicable for the Church Age.  So I encourage you faithful Believers to "dig in"...but stay biblically alert... because the biblical (not the spiritual but the biblical) condition of the Church is going to keep going from bad to worse. 
Matthew 24:4-5 ---- And Christ answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.

Matthew 24:9-11 -----Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.  (Which is Yeshua and NOT Jesus!)  And at that time many will fall away  (Only Believers can fall away) and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many (in the Church.) (Par. added.)

Here's a question for you pre-tribulation rapture Believers. After reading the verses above (and others like them throughout the New Testament); can you again tell me WHY our Lord would want to 'rescue' His compromised, worldly, unfaithful, disobedient (to Scriptures) children out of the suffering, persecution and judgment of the Tribulation times?  

False prophets and false teachers; they're everywhere in the church...and "hanging" around the church...and even occasionally 'passing thru" your church.  Many are right there in front of you, standing at the lectern...disguised as shepherds, traveling evangelists, traveling prophets or church leaders.  Many others stand along the 'sidelines' waiting for their opportunities to share their spiritual opinions. And they're even in the pews...openly sharing their totally unbiblical 'words form the Lord'!    
Now Brethren, I am quite aware that NONE of us who teach or preach are 100% right in what we believe and teach about God's written Word.  However, there are some who teach and preach who are doing a pretty darn good job of teaching and explaining God's Written Word! 
But many other teachers and preachers in the Church are simply absolutely wrong about some (un)biblical doctrines that they are teaching...and/or simply avoid teaching some rather obvious Church doctrines! And they just refuse to repent!  
Church, we can't all be right!  And we can't all be wrong! So, if you are a Believer who loves the Lord AND His Word... and you are in a Church where you're NOT getting 'fed' the 'deeper' 'harder' things of God's written Word...and where you KNOW that you are NOT being accurately taught that sacred Truths of the Scriptures. Let me encourage you with Christ's own words.  
Matthew 24:3-5, 23-25,  ----- Later, Yeshua sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?” Christ told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you,  for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many.
Then Christ said,  if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God’s chosen ones. See, I have warned you about this ahead of time.
Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.
Brethren, IF you have a shepherd who cares more about learning and teaching and having his sheep obey God's commandments for the Church...then he does about power, money, peer pressure or fame...then PRAISE God!  He (not she) is a very rare breed of shepherd! Pray HARD for that man! Because I'm warning you that Satan (and his minions) are slowly but surely 'neutralizing' the rest of the churches shepherds!  I have been hearing the Remnant for years telling me that they just can't find shepherds who are willing to teach the whole counsel of God's Word to them. 
1 John 4:1 ----Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

These false prophets and false teachers are functioning quite easily in today's (mostly biblically compromised) Churches.  And they come in all "shapes and sizes...with all kinds of pious sounding spiritual titles!"  Some of these false prophets and false teachers are simply biblically ignorant Believers who shouldn't be teaching God's Word...and yet are allowed to because they sound "wise" to people who don't know their Scriptures!  These types of false prophets and false teachers are NOT purposely deceiving the sheep....they do it out of biblical ignorance.  Nevertheless, these types of biblically ignorant Bible teachers are just as much a false teacher as are those false prophets and false teachers who PURPOSELY try to deceive or misguide God's people.  
Like I shared in my podcast...there are over 50 references to false prophets or false teachers in the New Testament alone!   And most of those references come with the WARNING: Believer....BE ON GUARD; or WATCH OUT FOR!   

Brethren, you are only going to see God's hand in your spiritual suffering or persecution IF you are spiritually awake, and "tuned into" the things of God!  A LOT OF Believers (who say they just love God SSSSOOOO much), turn" on the Lord when the going gets tough.  Brethren, our Christian life should not be about us!  We should not be 'building up our faith' on the people and the ways of this world.  And we most definitely need to keep our spiritual eyes open and be 'sensitive' to the what the Lord might be trying to use us for when we suffer.  I know that I have 'blown' opportunities (in the past) to be used by the Lord thru my suffering because my flesh was controlling my mind and not my spirit.  And Brethren, I believe that the times are only going to get worse for God's faithful children.  So, I share these podcasts on suffering to encourage the Remnant!  Don't be deceived by bad teachers who will try and teach you that our Heavenly Father would never, ever let anything "bad" happen to His children....simply because He loves us too much!  I know those 12 Apostles believed that the Lord loved them....and look how much they suffered!
