I love bad sports teams, and I'd rather they be good, but it is what it is. The Bulls, Blackhawks, Yankees, Gamecocks, and Giants can only get better from here, right?

It's another season of baseball without the Yankees or Red Sox in the World Series, and for better yearly news, congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Beal on their 1-year wedding anniversary. That's not the only thing the podcast is celebrating though, the basketball season is upon us and The NEW YORK FOOTBALL Giants are one loss closer to Caleb Williams. It is truly upsetting that both our Giants and South Carolina Gamecocks are having disappointing seasons, but at least it'll be one more year of the Cowboys failing to make a Super Bowl and Clemson falling short of making the College Football Playoff.

The Giants lost 40-0 to our archrival cowboys and both the Yankees and Red Sox are handsomely out of playoff contention, but on the bright side the Gamecocks got a win.

Week 1 of college football is in the books and we were most definitely not left disappointed. Colorado isn't just a cool place to ski anymore, they now have a football program and Deion Sanders' team is here to stay. Our Gamecocks may have lost Saturday night, but Clemson's performance Monday night against Duke all but made up for it and more. The NFL season is right around the corner and fantasy football starts right along with it.

In other news, the new influx of young talent on the Yankees' roster has them winning again. Shocker that a team that plays with excitement is better than one that doesn't. To finish today's pod, Beal breaks down the Red Sox slim chance at a wild card berth and what they need to accomplish this week to keep that chance alive.

The football season is upon us as Notre Dame put on a show in Ireland, but the guys are still holding onto the summer with Ryder cup and baseball talk. Baseball talk rather being Red sox talk as Gamby can't say more than a few words about his lowly Yankees.

The Yankees were swept by the Red Sox at home and that's a wrap for their 2023 campaign. The Red Sox on the other hand could use this as a springboard for their quest to be one of the 3 AL Wild Card teams.
