Coming into this podcast after watching The Yankees finally get a win against Tampa, my emotions were running high. Aaron Judge gets the job done in the bottom of the 9th with a 2 run walk-off homer was amazing.

That being said, the win doesn't negate the fact that the offense has been dormant for well over a week. The approach that the team has at the plate has been horrific. They've gotten away from doing the little things on offense which is alarming. They seem to be back to living and dying by the homer and the swing and miss rate has been through the roof again. Let's talk about that.

It still isn't all bad. Gerrit Cole is back and his 1st start was exactly what we hoped it would be. There are plenty of good signs for this team moving forward but the offense needs to get back to their winning approach. We should be trying to win each AB, trying to win every inning, and ultimately giving ourselves the best chance to win every game.
