Words can either build or destroy. When you say something to someone it's gone, you can't take it back. That is why it is important to be mindful of the words you speak and also control how others speak to you. On this episode, The Nembhards also address the issue of how adults should speak to children. Whatever you say to a child might end up being their reality. In episode 10, The Nembhards talk about the importance of paying close attention to one's surroundings and the actions of the people in their lives. Months or years later, a person doesn't all of a sudden become someone you don't want to be with, everything that you don't like about them now, has always been there from the beginning. They showed you who they really are but for some reason you looked the other way. The truth is, the signs are always there, we just choose to ignore them. In any relationship (romantic, friendship or business) we are often exposed to a lot of signs from the people in our lives that we choose to not pay attention to. A person can only pretend for so long, eventually their true colors come out and they can't hide who they really are or how they really feel.
