In this Advent season, we will be looking at some of the characters and persons that were part of the preparation for the arrival of Jesus. Join us as we consider Joseph and Mary, and what we can learn through their responses to God when Jesus was conceived. Revd. Daniel Teo brings the word to us. 

Genealogies are probably the portions of Scripture most skipped by readers; after all what is the point of reading through a list of names? Yet it was a not a superfluous list in Matthew's gospel. What is the significance of the genealogy? Why are Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba featured in it? What can ancestry tell us about Jesus and God's purpose for the world? Ps. Japheth Lim mines the genealogy in Matthew 1:1-17 and unpacks the significance and relevance of Jesus' ancestry for us today. 

Death comes to us all. We cannot control that reality for us all, but we can choose how to live the life we have been given by God before we pass on from this world. As we conclude our sermon series on the book of Deuteronomy, we are confronted with the death of Moses in chapter 34, but also the life he lived. What can we learn from his faith, obedience and moments of weakness? Pastor Peter Teo shares with us the insights from and implications of Moses' life and death. 

As Moses draws his last discourse to a close, he pronounced his blessing on the tribes of Israel in Deuteronomy 33. What have these blessings to the tribes got to do with us today? We will take a closer look at the blessing pronounced on the tribes of Levi and Joseph and draw implications of their blessing for our lives today.

Today we search The Song of Moses, found in Deuteronomy 32, exploring the concept of God as Creator and how we as his creatures should respond to the 'Rock' of our salvation who has created us.
