Welcome to the Young Creative Indian Space’s Community Podcast. As part of the South Asian Creativity Festival, we are inviting creatives of Indian and South Asian origin from all over the world to talk about their unique creative practices and philosophies.
One conversation at a time, we are trying to explore the nuances of being South Asian-origin creatives, the diaspora is diverse and multidimensional, originating from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and thriving across every part of the world. Young creatives relay the nuances of South Asia, its cultures, identities, religions, problems and beauty.
The podcast is a collection of IG lives, recorded conversations and sessions we've had and will have with Indian/South Asian creatives all over the world!
Our aim is to make use of this podcast to create digital resources for South Asian creatives all over the world. as part of the South Asian creativity festival'21, the podcast will feature about 50+ south Asian origin creatives. The podcast transcripts will be compiled in one of our biggest projects yet, "The brown book" (to be announced soon)
Hi, my name is Anushray Singh, I am the founder of The Young Creative Indian Space and Festival Director of the South Asian Creativity Festival. For our first episode, I am in conversation with Adeeb Abdul Razak, Raaesah Patel and Evelyn Miller. Three of them have co-founded Juice, which is a South Asian multidisciplinary platform and magazine.
