The year 1816 is known in the earthly annals as the 'year without summer'.
The reason for this is based on the fact that in the year 1816 a huge eruption of the 2,850
meter high volcano Tambora took place in the north of the 13,980 square kilometre large
Sundainsel Sumbawa in Indonesia.
During the ejection about 156 cubic kilometres of lava were ejected and scattered over a
