Yellow Brit Road

Yellow Brit Road, 4 April 2021

Listen Later

This week on the Yellow Brit Road, tunes previously unheard flowed from the stereo to find their way to the special place in your soul.

We had tons of new music, true to indie's recent newfound golden run of form, including music by

  • St. Vincent
  • Beck, who worked with Paul McCartney on his upcoming reworked album, McCartney III Imagined
  • Piss Kitti, a Liverpool-based delightfully playful punk band
  • Regressive Left, London political art punk trio
  • Screaming Toenail, Mitcham based “Anti-Colonial, D.I.Y, Queer-Feminist Afrofuturist Grunge/Punk Band.”
  • L’Objectif,  the latest new band on the scene blowing minds. From Leeds, all of 16 years of age, their debut single Drive In Mind shows nothing short of rock promise
  • Welsh indie rockers The Joy Formidable
  • Adwaith, collaborating with Italian musician Massimo Silverio. (Adwaith are also on a recent Welsh charity covers album titled Corona Logic)
  • Reclaim Vienna, our submission for this week, a 6-piece synth rock band from Cheshire
  • Dry Cleaning with their new album finally out (woohoo!)
  • Neville Staple
  • Masala Chai artists for this week were

    • NY via Texas indie rocker Hannah Jadagu
    • Toronto band Vallens
    • A new compilation album by Ontario Artists Against Injustice.
    • Here's this week's playlist. (try and support artists directly!)
