This week's show was (half) recorded at one of Canada's coolest and best music festivals: Osheaga Festival in Montreal! Yellow Brit Road brings you reviews, news and thoughts, and we catch up with Montreal band Bibi Club in the Media Tent. Plus live performances from cool artists who performed at Osheaga (from other festivals, Osheaga isn't televised!) to try and recreate the vibe for listeners at home. This one's worth listening to in full in the archives instead of in podcast form.
Music this week by Jorja Smith, Nova Twins, The Amazons, The Struts, Nadia Sheikh, Glass Animals, La Femme, Barry Can't Swim, Artemas, Pypy, Doechii, Jamie xx, Bibi Club.

This week was about a lot of shows. From the UK, we talked about Fontaines D.C.'s Finsbury Park moment, Black Sabbath's farewell show (aired 2 days before the sad news of Ozzy's death) and got you Kae Tempest's performance from Glastonbury. We got some music from Wet Leg's Tiny Desk and chatted PUP's 6-show 'tour' of Toronto! Also, a celebration of Gorky's Zygotic Mynci's 1995 album Bwyd Time. Music by:
Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Wet Leg, Kae Tempest, Calva Louise, The Jacques, Joy Crookes, Gwenno, Gen and the Degenerates, Cyn Cwsg, Mared, Fontaines D.C., Big Fear, Nilüfer Yanya, Monster Florence, Kojey Radical, Webmoms, TV Dog, Fionn, Bebe and Oona, PUP, Louie Zong.

DC Dolls have been creating a buzz in Dublin's music scene for a couple of years now. With battle of the bands, a slot at Electric Picnic festival, a debut EP featuring songs about prominent figures in feminist history and a fierce sense of community, it was only inevitable that the Irish punk rockers would start making waves. Back from a semi-hatus to finish off their school exams, the five piece return with a new single, Blame Me, and lead guitarist Abi Rafter drops by the Yellow Brit Road to talk all about their new music plans for the year, and the journey so far!
Follow DC Dolls on socials for updates, and find their music on all streaming sites.

Musician Haich Ber Na released his debut album The Everyday last year, a gritty yet loving portait of life in his hometown of Peterborough, UK, that earned him nods from punk godfather Iggy Pop on his BBC 6 Music show. He's also been featured on the FIFA 23 soundtrack and collaborated with artists like Paris Texas. In the runup to releasing his next EP, Music For Making Friends, Haich dropped by the Yellow Brit Road to talk new music, collaborations, cinematic albums, transcending genre, correspondence from camp Iggy and his latest single, Have You Given Up?
This one's a good chat, listen on. Find Haich Ber Na's music on Bandcamp. Support artists independently!
