When Yeshua talked about God he often called him his father. The problem is that our English translations have him saying "the Father", which sounds really stiff and unnatural. This problem is solved when we look at how people talked about their dads in Second Temple era Hebrew/Aramaic. They just said abba. And not even "my abba" - just abba. Listen to Yeshua saying "I and Abba are one." Or saying "In Abba's house are many rooms." Doesn't it have a totally different feel? What does that tell you about his relationship with God? What does that tell you about the relationship you can experience with God as your "abba father"? This is a takeaway from our newest Mishnah Snapshots study.
