Mother's Day Ann Taylor, 'My Mother'. Ann's sister Jane Taylor (1783-1824) is best-remembered for having written the words to the children's rhyme 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star', but this poem, written by Ann, is also well-known and has been much imitated and parodied. It begins:
Who sat and watched my infant head When sleeping on my cradle bed, And tears of sweet affection shed? My Mother.

The journey from conception to the birth of a child is such a precious gift from God. As we live in a strange time when women encounter challenges as mothers or being a mother, we must encourage and bless moms. Cheers to all moms who love children unconditionally. And we thank the mothers who gave us birth and raised us.
