Hi yogis and welcome to the Channel!

This week I'm offering you a Yin Yoga Sequence for hip flexibility. This class will provide you with a deep stretch for your it bands, hips and also your low back! Tension in the hips after a long, exhausting day can cause severe aggravation and stress on the mind. We all work, and we all spend time on the computer. So, if you’re suffering from tight hips, you’ve come to the right place for some relief. You don't need any props for this beginner friendly yoga class!

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a meditative practice that aims to balance out the yang energy in our lives. Although Yin Yoga uses many of the same poses as Hatha or Vinyasa yoga, the poses focus on the connective tissues of the body, such as fascia, tendons, and ligaments, rather than the muscles.

There are 3 primary principles of Yin Yoga:

  1. Find your edge
  2. Be still
  3. Hold the pose
