When you are a salesperson and a customer asks you to prepare a quotation, you are very happy. But not all quotations lead to a contract. Depending on the industry, sales techniques and marketing, sometimes the customer does not buy the product at all, even after submitting a quotation. For a salesperson, a request for a quotation that has little chance of closing a deal is like a tired profit from a lost quotation.
