Mi querida amiga @tibaire me invitó a la iniciativa de @charjaim La vida de estudiante es la mejor y me han contagiado para participar en ella.
Es por eso que quiero hablarles de algunos de mis recuerdos.
En esta oportunidad, quiero hacer referencia a mi etapa secundaria.
En algunos países, las etapas primarias y secundaria están divididas de formas diferentes, particularmente, en mi país de origen, la etapa primaria dura 6 años y la secundaria 5.
Esta etapa secundaria, al menos en mi época, estaba subdividida en un ciclo básico (que eran los tres primeros años) y un ciclo diversificado (que eran los dos últimos)
Cuando yo inicié el ciclo básico, tenía apenas 12 años y venía de una escuela bastante pequeña.

Aunque este ciclo básico del secundario era una institución también de tamaño pequeño, era mucho más grande que el lugar de donde yo venía y aunque no le tenía miedo al cambio, me llamaba bastante la atención ver la cantidad de personas que había.
Como era común en mi época, este liceo no tenía una sede propia, funcionaba en unas antiguas casas que el ministerio de educación alquilaba para que funcionara allí el liceo.
Esto para mí fue maravilloso, porque siempre me gustó mucho la arquitectura (incluso llegué a pensar que eso era lo que iba a estudiar cuando estuviese grande)
Recuerdo la institución estaba conformada por cuatro caserones de los años 1920 o 1930, pero con arquitectura de estilo colonial.
La casa número 1, que era la que llamábamos la casa principal, tenía un patio interno con hermosos barandales de madera. Era una casa de un solo nivel, con pisos de parquet y portones de madera.
Pero mi preferida, era la casa 3. Era la que mantenía su estado más original, con ventanales que tenían los barrotes de madera oscura y gruesa y las ventanas enmarcadas con bellas molduras que recordaban el estilo europeo.
Esta casa tenía una especie de patio lateral que no era muy frecuentado por los grupos de chicos populares de la escuela, así que se convirtió en mi lugar preferido.
Yo solía ir allí simplemente a mirar las ventanas, y las formas extrañas que había adquirido con los años aquella inmensa mata de mango, que daba tan grata sombra.
Allí también me refugiaba para ensayar con el cuatro (que es el instrumento musical con caja de madera y cuatro cuerdas, un poco más grande que el ukelele y que es típico de mi país) Yo formaba parte de la estudiantina y en ese lugar, a nadie le molestaba ni persistente charrasqueo.
Allí compuse la letra de mis primeras canciones.
Fue en estos momentos de soledad en los que comencé a entender comencé a darme cuenta que mi percepción del mundo no era igual a la de mis contemporáneos, que estaban más atentos en buscar formas de cómo insergrarse en los grupos sociales, así que fumaban, bebían o dejaban de asistir a clase, solo para dar vueltas por las calles haciéndose los malos.
En realidad, a mí no me interesaba ser parte del grupo líder. Fue en esta época en la que comprendí que yo miraba el mundo de otra forma y ya intuía que mi destino sería diferente.
Es por estas cosas que esta etapa de mi vida me resulta tan importante. Me permitieron tomar conciencia de mi papel, de mi rol, de mi sentido de existencia.
Al mirar hacia atrás, me doy cuenta que no tengo un repertorio de historias divertidas como algunos otros, llenas de chascos como manera de aprendizaje, pero definitivamente, la considero una etapa linda y decisiva en mi formación, porque esos momentos de introspección, son los que me hicieron la persona que ahora soy.
Una persona dual y de sana convivencia interna. Muy sociable y a la vez solitaria.

That’s why I want to talk to you about some of my memories.
On this occasion, I want to refer to my secondary stage.

When I started the basic cycle, I was only 12 years old and came from a quite small school.

As was common in my time, this lyceum did not have its own headquarters, it operated in some old houses that the ministry of education rented to run the lyceum there.
This was wonderful for me, because I always liked architecture very much (I even thought that was what I was going to study when I was older)
I remember the institution was made up of four landlords from the 1920s or 1930s, but with colonial style architecture.
House number 1, which we called the main house, had an internal courtyard with beautiful wooden railings. It was a single level house, with parquet floors and wooden gates.
But my favorite was the house 3. It was the one that kept its most original state, with windows that had dark and thick wooden bars and windows framed with beautiful moldings that recalled the European style.
This house had a kind of side yard that wasn’t very frequented by the popular school boy groups, so it became my favorite place.
I used to go there simply to look at the windows, and the strange forms that had acquired over the years that immense mango bush, that gave so pleasant shade.
There I also took refuge to rehearse with the cuatro (which is the musical instrument with wooden box and four strings, a little bigger than the ukulele and which is typical of my country) I was part of the estudiantina and in that place, nobody bothered or persistent charrasqueo.
I wrote the lyrics to my first songs there.
It was in these moments of solitude in which I began to understand that I began to realize that my perception of the world was not the same as that of my contemporaries, who were more attentive in looking for ways of getting into social groups, so they smoked, drank or stopped attending school, only to wander the streets playing the bad guy.
Actually, I wasn’t interested in being part of the lead group. It was at this time that I understood that I looked at the world differently and I already sensed that my destiny would be different.
It is for these things that this stage of my life is so important to me. They allowed me to become aware of my role, of my role, of my sense of existence.
Looking back, I realize that I don’t have a repertoire of funny stories like some others, full of disappointment as a way of learning, but I definitely consider it a nice and decisive stage in my formation, because those moments of introspection, are the ones who made me the person I am now.
A dual person and healthy internal coexistence. Very sociable and at the same time lonely.
