YO! MAFIA MIXTAPES

A Mega Mash Up of Kaytranada's most classic jams all rolled into one epic mixtape.

Today, Monday 25th August 2014, marks 13 years since the tragic passing of one of RNB's most prolific and promising artists, Aaliyah. From her debut "Age Ain't Nothin' But A Number" to her final smash "Rock The Boat", Aaliyah left a legacy that remains untouched by any other female RNB singer to this day. With forward thinking beats, thanks to her affiliation with up and coming producers Missy Elliott and Timbaland, Aaliyah managed to create a whole new sound in her short career, that still remains relevant and cutting edge today.

Join me in this incredible journey, paying homage to one of my all-time favourite artists, as I blend together signature tracks from the '90s, remixes of your favourite Aaliyah jams, and poignant sound bites to round out an emotional 33 minute mix, all recorded LIVE! No tricks, gimmicks or programs. Just me, my DDJ SX and Aaliyah's incredible voice.

RIP Baby Girl xx

Known as one of the most celebrated days of the calendar year, Christmas is the celebration for the birth of Christ. So brace yourselves as International Party DJ YO!MAFIA provides you with a new date to mark in your diaries – Ye Day.

For t’was on this day 8th of June, 1977 that the lord gaveth the world a gift of little baby Yeezus (Kanye West).

You can love or loathe him, but there is no way you can escape him. The past 10 years has seen Kanye manufacture himself into an iconic brand; credited for having produced some of the largest grossing albums of all time, spearheading the production on LPs like Jay-Z’s ’The Blueprint’ and creating classic albums like ’The College Dropout’ and ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'. His entrepreneurial swagger has also led him on ventures into the film and fashion stratospheres, and with his unsurpassed narcissism, he embodies Pop Culture.

“I’m like the new Walt Disney!” - Kanye West

It is because of these reasons that beloved club & party DJ YO!MAFIA has taken it upon herself to celebrate the birthday of Yeezus in style. After the huge success of her last release ‘OOOHHH! ON THE TLC MIXTAPE TIP’, the renowned genre-smashing DJ returns with a gift, paying homage to the egomaniac himself.

With her reputation as the ‘Mash-Up Queen’ YO!MAFIA will once again use her sixth sense to bring together a bombardment of party favourites.
