In this practice be witness to the ebb & flow of the breath. Remain equanimous to the sensations in the body as they arise and pass. Observe the reality of each moment and appreciate impermanence.
We emphasise spaciousness and stability in the shoulders and upper back. Expect to play with garudasana (eagle) arm variations, gomukhasana (cow face) arm variations.
Namaste. xxx.

I invite you to follow the path of least resistance. "Those who stand on tiptoe don't stand firm. Those who rush ahead don't go far." Let us not overfill our vessel. In this practice put in only 80%. Practise with a sense of grace and joy.
Expect a well-rounded practice which includes forwards folds, lunges, twists, sidebends and (of course) our beloved Salabhasana (Locust pose). We will experiment with a shorter stance in Trikonasana (Triangle pose).
Namaste. xoxo Sonsie

This is a gentle practice with a restorative emphasis. We will find release through softening rather than stretching. You will ease the hips, spine, pelvis and deep core. As we stay low on the mat allow yourself to embody the grounded steady pace of the living earth.
Optional props: 1 x blanket 1 x block 1 x strap.

This week I offer you a Yoga Nidra practice. In Yoga Nidra we learn to enter the state of mind between wakefulness and dream. It is a potent form of rest and rejuventation (more than conventional sleep). In this practice you will be guided through relaxation, setting an intention, a body scan, awareness of sensations and a visualisation. Take your time to get comfortable. Feel free to use blankets / bolsters / an eye pillow.
Enjoy beautiful humans. xxx Sonsie.

This practice is inspired by beginner's mind and the power of simplicity. Let us come to our practice with a freshness. We can use each movement as an exploration. We can use every breath as a discovery. Expect gentle flowing movements to wake up the body-mind, Surya Namaskar A and simple standing poses.
Embrace the simplicty of letting go of the outcome and just going along for the journey.
Optional prop: 1 x block and 1 x strap

Wakeful attention. Wakeful intention. Our intentions have the power to transform. Let us be inspired by a one word intention. A guiding light in our practice. Expect standing balances and interesting transitions requiring your wakeful attention. Just like drops of water in the ocean our intentions accumlate and shae our lives.
Optional prop: 2 x blocks
Thank you dear yogis. Namaste.

Let us practice in a manner that is self-fulfilling rather than self-fatiguing. A reseting and rejunvating practice which flows through all movements of the spine. You will twist, sidebend, forward fold, backbend and lengthen vertically upward through the spine.
Let's take in the good - acknolwedge what we can do - soak in our spinal resilience.
Optional prop: block

As we fly into our practice can we let go of any expection as to how things might unfold? Can we be completely open to the present moment. Vulnerable courage. Perfectly imperfect. An emphasis on shoulders and upper back. Expect to spread your wings in locust pose, eagle pose, crow pose and heron's pose.
Optional prop: cushion or blanket.
Thank you dear yogis. Namaste.

We are not alone. We are deeply connected (even though we can sometimes forget). We all have shared needs and it is our interconnectivity that brings us together. We practice expanding and radiating from our centre then condensing or drawing back inward. Expansion to connect. Drawing back inward for a sense of belonging. Expect cat/cow-like movements, wide-legged forward fold, goddess pose and standing balances (warrior III and hand-to-big-toe pose).
Optional prop: A block or a strap.
