Practice along with this Triangle Variation. It's a wonderful way to combine the stretching of the sides of your body and the stretching of the hip region. The twisting brings another interesting part to the triangle pose.

The spinal twist in lotus posture is a variation of the basic posture called "Ardha Matsyendrasana". For this variation you should have mastered the lotus posture. This twist in lotus helps you getting your maximum twist and you can practice it at the end of Swami Sivanandas Rishikesh Yoga Sequence.
