Halloween Given that it's October, some of us may or may not be engaging in spooky, Halloween themed activities. Sit down with us while we talk about our own childhood experiences related to Halloween as well as how we look at it now as adults. This conversation is in no way meant to judge anyone. None of us are in a position where we should be doing that anyway. We're just four people sharing what it was like growing up in a western world where holidays such as this are a nationwide phenomena.

It may have faded from the news headlines and people aren't posting about it like they were a while back, but the crisis in Afghanistan is far from over. Members of our ummah are being subject to reckless violence. As American Muslims the last thing we should be doing is turning a blind eye, seeing as our government is the one that helped the current regime climb to power. WE sit down with student and Afghani activist Feriba to discuss the crisis and learn exactly what it is we can do to best serve our community. IN honor of that we sat down with Hamdard Health CEO and former crisis worker, Kiran Siddiqui. She was kind enough to share her expertise and shine light on a very uncomfortable but extremely important subject. Please understand that we don't do this to make viewers uncomfortable. We do it to highlight an issue in our community that is finally getting the attention it deserves.

Today the Unfiltered team tries to take a nuanced and respectful approach while talking about it and the roles we as young Muslims play in preventing such tragedies from occurring.

In this day and age, it's common that the stranger you've never met already has generalized an assumption about you and your life story. We pass judgement subconsciously in our everyday lives, and it becomes a habit. How do you advise without shaming? Do we use "only God can judge me" as an excuse?

This is an unscripted introspection from four of our team members about both their pasts and futures. Right now everything we discuss is hypothetical, but will eventually become reality.
