You asked, we delivered! What do you do when you don't love the season you're in?
Laken and Blaine go head (and heart) first into what the last seasons of life looked like for each of them. From church hurt and pregnancies to everything else you can imagine, they discuss what it looks like to savor the season. Are all seasons hard or bad? No, but we see you and we hold space for you if you're in a tough season of life. We also talk through what it looks like to find joy in hard seasons, and we celebrate that each of us are in a season of growth and redemption.
Tune in with us this week as we share our heart in life's toughest seasons.
Rounding out our Love Month series is a whole episode channeling our inner Julie Andrews aka Maria von Trapp with "A Few of our Favorite Things."
Kicking off the episode, Laken and Blaine each share what they are loving and learning about Jesus this past week, then we move to our favorite and newest hobbies. (Hobbies - what are those?!)
We want to hear from you: what are your favorite books and hobbies you are loving lately? We know life can feel like it's just a matter of surviving, but this episode is packed full of things we enjoy and we hope you'll find encouragement to go out and find your favorite things, too!

Books we mentioned: Lucy Foley, Tell Her Story by Nijay K. Gupta, The Hard Good by Lisa Whittle
This week, Blaine and Laken talk about their husbands. The good, the bad, and the ugly…. just kidding. They talk about the highs and lows of marriage and how to view your spouse through the lens of Christ.
We start with love languages just as we did in our episode with loving your kids. Then we talk about marriage being holy and what it looks like to love your spouse through hard seasons.
You don’t want to miss it! Be sure to follow us on Spotify and leave a 5-star rating if you enjoyed this week's episode.
Picture this: you're in an accident, you don't know what you need, but you know you need help. What's the default? Call the first responders. Look for the helpers!
Why don't we do this when we are drowning in to-do lists, motherhood, career goals, college classes, and ministry? Why don't we put the life vest on, knowing there's help to keep us afloat and instead tread water for hours until we are exhausted and in need of an emergency rescue?
This week's episode is hopefully equally encouraging and convicting. Just ask for help. You don't have to do it alone. We hope this also gives you the encouragement you need to serve your friends and lend a helping hand to new mamas, overwhelmed friends, or anxious coworkers.
First we talk about spilled milk, but then - the whole cow exploded, y'all! Laken and Blaine take a minute to talk through a hard week, what it looked like to process what all was going on, and how to cope.
We promise to be back next week with encouragement and lifted spirits, but this week's episode is sure to be raw and real. Save this one for next time you have a week that's in the pits, or take a listen and send it to a friend going through a tough time.
Yes, it's okay to cry over spilled milk. Laken and Blaine start with a lighthearted story about crying over literal spilled milk in the kitchen. We then dive straight into baby sleep (or lack thereof), picky eaters, and more frustrations in motherhood.
For all our ministry wives, this one is for you, too. We talk through communication, expectations for being in ministry, and everything in between. Ever been upset over little things early in the day and it totally derail your day? Us, too. Join us over coffee this morning and let's chat through all the things it's okay to cry over.
