Upgrading Friendships in Midlife. Today I share a personal story from the Maine Women’s Conference. Last week, while having lunch, I mentioned that I work as a menopause performance coach, and the woman sitting next to me exclaimed, “Oh my gosh, you’re my new best friend!” This reaction got me thinking about the importance of finding new friends and a supportive tribe as we navigate midlife transformations, especially during menopause. It’s not about abandoning old friendships but seeking out those who can relate to our current journey and growth. I’ve personally experienced this need, and I’ve formed a small group of new besties who understand and support me in this phase of life. If you’re looking to build a new circle of like-minded women, reach out to me at [email protected]. Let’s create this empowering community together.
