In this episode, I get the privilege to sit down with Dr Celia Robinson-Ledet, a true general surgeon at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She grew up in the same community, climbing mountains and defying the odds. She did her medical school in Georgetown and then residency at Baylor, before being hired full time at MD Anderson. Still young, the sky is her limit as she immerse herself in the landfill of opportunities at MD Anderson.

In this episode, I had the privilege to sit down with Dr Lukman Faniyi, a chief general surgical resident at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, preparing to match into a fellowship to become a heart surgeon.

Dr Faniyi talks about his journey from moving to the US from Nigeria, to putting himself through school, eventually medical school and his journey to become a true surgeon.

In this episode, I present you Dr Oyinkansola Akinpelu, a surgical resident PGY2 at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. She left Nigeria at 16, without her parents, moved to the US, pute herself through nursing school, and then earned her nurse practitioner liscence. Later on she decided that she wanted to know more and put herself back in medical school and eventually decided to become a surgeon.
