You Can’t Fake Your Way Into Forgiveness

Listen Later

In today's episode, I'm going off-script because the same conversation kept coming up with clients all day and I just felt the Lord speaking to my heart about it - we need to talk about forgiveness, healing, and why the church's "just forgive and move on" message is actually missing the entire process. If you've ever felt guilt or shame because someone told you to just forgive them because you were forgiven, this one's for you. I'm breaking down why your body knows what's going on before any other part of you does, how the church has disconnected our spiritual health from our physical health, and why you can't actually heal from something you haven't grieved. We're talking about the ruptures that were created in your story, the agreements and identities you took on along the way, and why looking honestly at your childhood doesn't mean it wasn't good - unless you were raised by Jesus (which you weren't), there are going to be ruptures. This is why your spouse can trigger you more than anyone else, why your physical body is holding onto symptoms, and why you can't fake your way to forgiveness no matter how much the church tells you to. Fair warning - this one's raw, unscripted, and probably going to make you feel some things. So let's dive in!
