The latest entry in the Ghostbusters franchise has hit cinemas and while it's an improvement on the 2016 reboot (not saying much), it still suffers from a poor script and being very bland throughout. Fans of the original will have a great time that much is true, and while I am a fan and it did bring a tear to my eye towards the end, there is no escaping the fact this isn't a great film overall. Some funny moments and Paul Rudd shines but if there's something strange in my neighbourhood, I don't think I'd call these new guys.

Who'd have thought in 1984 that almost 40 years later, another Ghostbusters film would be arriving in cinemas? I'd like to think a very similar number of people are interested in this one, the point is, it's not a lot. That being said it has some merits, however on the whole the script ultimately causes this film to crash and burn in the third act which is disappointing but I can't dispute the fact there were some great moments within, and for fans of the original it will absolutely be worth the ride. In cinemas now so enjoy!

The latest episode of my Anticipation Avenue series is all about the new Spider-Man film coming out in December. There's a lot of hype and speculation riding on this film and as the new trailer just got released, I decided to react to it and focus an episode of this on how I feel about the film leading up to it. Is it going to be worth the wait? Or is it hyping up too much that'll end in disappointment, either way we don't have long to find out!

Will Smith's latest film is all but guaranteed to be a strong vehicle for Oscars, telling the incredible true story of Richard Williams, father to Venus and Serena. With strong performances across the board and genuine excitement through the tennis games, this film is great and definitely worth a watch. In cinemas from Friday so enjoy!

So I watched Blade for the very first time and at the cinema too, which was INCREDIBLE. Loved every second of it and it's now my new guilty pleasure film because damn it's GOOD. Some spoilers within, but it won't distract from the fun to be had whether you're watching for the first time or the tenth time. Blade rocks

My spoiler filled take on potentially the worst film in the marvel cinematic universe, it had to happen eventually. Total misfire sadly, didn't enjoy it at all. Except for the very final part of the post credits scene so yay we love watching a 2 and a half hour film for 5 seconds of greatness. Let's hope marvel get back on track for Spider-Man 3 next month.

Finally after 26 entries in the cinematic universe, Marvel have made a dud. Didn't enjoy this movie sadly, that's all there is to say about Eternals :)

My full spoilery thoughts on the latest candyman film, a good time but not a great time. Some strong moments and interesting concepts within the franchise, definitely a step in the right direction but not quite reaching the heights its setting out to reach. Enjoyable anyway!

Edgar Wright's latest has hit cinemas and its a blend of horror, romance and classic Hollywood nostalgia. While it may not be my favourite film of his, its certainly one of the most immersive cinematic experiences of the year. Very uncomfortable at times albeit a powerful presentation of London in its heyday and now. Heavy spoilers within however a non spoiler review is up already!
