Regenerative Motherhood

You Can’t Make Everyone Happy—So Now What?

Listen Later

Let’s talk about something that most of us (especially moms) hate doing: letting people down.

If you’re anything like me, the thought of disappointing someone—whether it’s a friend, a family member, or your kid—can feel unbearable. But here’s the truth: if we’re going to truly take care of ourselves, prioritize what actually matters, and live a life that feels good rather than just checking all the boxes, we have to get better at tolerating it.

In this episode, I dive into:

✨ Why letting people down is inevitable (and why that’s not a bad thing)

✨ The difference between people-pleasing and real connection

✨ How prioritizing your needs actually benefits the people in your life

✨ The emotional rollercoaster of disappointing others (and how to ride it out)

✨ Why joy, fun, and pleasure deserve just as much space on your to-do list as everything else

We can’t be everything to everyone, and when we try, we just end up exhausted, disconnected, and still not perfect. So what if we got more comfortable with letting people down? What if we saw it as a natural part of setting boundaries and living fully?

It’s a work in progress for me, too—but I know this is part of the path to a life that’s more nourishing, expansive, and real. Let’s explore it together.
