At the end of April Netflix announced a new podcast hosted by two popular Black women in the media and social media space. Alongside the many congratulations were several declarations of disappointment from women that worked in the same industry. The question? Why did it seem as if the same group of friends always got the big opportunities? While I completely understood the feeling and had felt the same in many ways prior, it served as a reminder that you can't win if you don't play.
