You Don’t Have to Struggle to Deserve Your Life

Listen Later

📝 Let’s Reflect:

This second episode of my private podcast is for all of us who have (accidentally) tied our self-worth to struggle, hustle, and exhaustion.

Maybe you were taught that if it came easy, it wasn’t valuable.Maybe you still catch yourself feeling guilty for resting.Maybe you feel weird celebrating something that didn’t almost break you.

Welcome to the club. We’re here to notice that old story—and write a new one.

And as always: you don’t need a fancy journal.

Grab the back of your grocery list. Type it in your notes app. Use your kid’s abandoned math notebook (highly recommend).

The important part is showing up, not making it precious.

✨ Quick Recap:

You don’t have to struggle to deserve your life.Your value isn’t something you have to prove.Ease, rest, and joy are not signs you’re slacking off. They’re signs you’re living.

✍🏼 Journal Prompts:

* When did you first learn that struggle = worth?

* In what areas of your life do you still feel like you have to "earn" rest, joy, or ease?

* What’s something in your life that came easily—and do you secretly feel weird or guilty about it?

* How do you usually react when things are easy? (Suspicious? Grateful? Waiting for the other shoe to drop?)

* What would it look like to let one thing be easier this week—without guilt?

* Who modeled “struggle equals worth” for you growing up? How did that shape you?

* What new model would you like to create for yourself—and maybe for your kids, your family, your community?

* What’s a small joy you can allow yourself to experience today, no permission slip required?

* How does your body feel when you imagine living with more ease?

* What’s one story about success or hard work that you’re ready to gently let go of?
