You Don't Love Me Podcast is life from the perspective of a gay South Asian couple.
In this episode we talk about body positivity and loving your body. We discuss the health implications of obesity, whether we believe ‘fatphobia’ is real and reasons why people, including ourselves, may overeat. •
A few questions we asked ourselves before, during and after recording: -If body positivity is inclusive of all shapes and sizes then why are skinny people shamed? -‘Fuck those skinny bitches’ is a term often using within gay culture, is this positive? -Should the government be doing more to help us create a more healthy society? -Sugar is more addictive than cocaine, shall we talk about that? -Is ‘fatphobia’ real? Is it healthy for young people to see extremely overweight people as role models? -We say it’s dangerous seeing super skinny models on runways, why isn’t the same said when we see the other extreme? • Some of the discussions may trigger some people. We are always here to discuss and talk and even our own minds change after recording! Have fun and listen!
