  • #13. WORKING OUT LOUD with John Stepper. 🇺🇸 lg.

Todays guest is the NYC based author, TED talk speaker and creator of Working Out Loud (#WOL) John Stepper.
John fits perfectly into the show as he has created an empowering method which is used by many companies like BOSCH and Porsche and thousands of individuals globally to build collaborative and purposeful networks. WOL is helping people of any job level to define and get in control of their own goals professionally and in life and has become a crucial part of the New Work movement.

John shared three questions as a starting point for WOL:

➡️ Set yourself a goal: What are you interested in or what are you trying to learn and achieve?

➡️ Who is related to your goal?  Search on Google or LinkedIn and create a list of people who are where you want to go.

➡️ What can you contribute to the people on your list? Sometimes even a like can be the start of a relationship. Start doing it!

  • #12. How to agilize an organisation with Anna Roizman from Porsche. 🇩🇪lg.

    🎙️You drink you learn. Episode 12. (🇩🇪lg.)

Todays guest Anna drives new work and fuels the culture of the Porsche organisation on a daily base as an agile coach. She loves to connect people, to create meaningful benefits for customers and consumers and embodies the agile spirit of commitment, respect, focus, openness and courage. I was super impressed by her amazing life story, leaving the Ukraine with eighteen to move to Germany, adjusting to the new culture, studying, starting a family and raising kids at the same time to then start an amazing career which just made her a finalist at the FTAfelicitas-Award in the field of #impacttogether.

Some take aways of todays session:

➡️ Build your own definition of what agile should mean to your organisation and have someone owning it.
➡️ Start small, with one team and task, define the right toolset and scale the success through the company.
➡️ Be bold when setting a vision, but pack the tasks to reach it in sizeable targets and review periodly. This way it is much easier to adjust when things might change on the way.
➡️ In whatever you do, drive improvements with your customer/consumer in mind.
➡️ Look for people who have similar targets in life to support and learn from each other!

Before Kerri has startet the Liberty Collective, her own consultancy and coaching business, she has worked in media, crafted advertising at WK and served many years as an executive at Nike, where she was one of the founders of Nike Women. Some take aways of todays session:

➡️ Many times trusted people and mentors help you challenging your status quo and accelerate your growth process by sharing honest observations. Make sure you have such people in your sourrounding.

➡️ Don’t just go from job to job and choose the next assignment by the shiny brand name - build yourself a filter by answering in which surrounding and with what kind of people you are best in and what you would like to learn. If the shiny brands job description still fits your answers - go for it!

➡️ Be real and transparent. This builds trust - especially with your team which will be crucial in good and bad times.

  • #5. Be bold and have a voice with Robin Karakash from mozilla/firefox. 🇩🇪 lg.

Coca-Cola, Viacom,  VCCP, Asics, Mozilla - what a great track record todays guest has - a true marketer and brand guy and as it turned out a good interviewer as well: Robin Karakash. Robin was working for Coca -Cola when we first met and built the first deep ingame advertising partnership and 360 degree campaign with Need for Speed and Coca-Cola Zero. New grounds for EA, Coke and the industry at that time.
As we had not been able to exchange for years I am keen to find out what Robin did the last years and if I get some learnings and wisdom out of him - or he out of me.

  • #4. Founding a fitness start up with Maurice Calmano from Triggerdinger. 🇩🇪 lg.

Todays guest is a fitness trainer, podcaster and founder of Triggerdinger Mobility: Maurice Calmano who shared the great story how his professor at university pushed him to bring his product idea to life during an exam and challenged him to accelerate through an invitation to present his business in front of other students and founders, knowing that there was no business at that time. This forced Maurice to officially set up a business in high speed. It seems like a little push, some inspiration and the „Just do it“ genes are always helpful starting your own Business.  It was also interesting to hear how Maurice started to produce goods on demand through 3D printing to keep his costs and cashflow needs low in the first phase of the business.
