You Know The Place

If you're a long-time listener of the You Know The Place podcast, you may remember our season one episode at India Fashion & Grocery. It remains one of our favorite explorations and, even after two seasons, our most-downloaded episode. A few days ago, an accidental electrical fire swept through the store and now the business is (in the words of the fire department) a total loss. We're devastated for Hardeep and Amar, the owner-operators of the business, and their boys. They are wonderfully-generous people who wouldn't take our money after giving us henna tattoos, who work so incredibly hard for their family, and who are such an integral part of our community. We've put together a special, short episode that gives further details on the situation and tells you how you can help.

Podcast season finales are for the birds, apparently. We didn't plan it that way but for the second time in a row we are rounding out the season with an avian theme. And if the World Center for Birds of Prey seems like a bucket-list thing to do, we agree. So does our special guest host (!!!!).

Maybe the draw to a place like this is more obvious than we'd originally thought—I mean come on, it's Nerf guns. But we went. And we played. With seven-year-old boys. We have no regrets.

We packed a cooler and the spouses and we finally did it—we got outta town! After talking about it forever, we spent a Saturday hot springin' in Lowman and beer sippin' in Idaho City. Join us for our first YKTP road trip, won't ya?

What's our excuse for not yet exploring a neighborhood pub? Truth is, we don't have one. And we're sorry. To make up for it, we asked YOU where we should go and as usual, you didn't disappoint. Thanks to everyone who gave us suggestions—we ended up going to the one that got the most recommendations: LDG.
