In this episode, we explore what characteristics it takes to be successful as a therapy or coaching client. We examine an article in Psychology Today by Marina Harris PhD, as she shares what must be present to have the most success and growth in a counseling session. She states that a brave counseling client must have a collaborative spirit, be open, be flexible and be curious. We look at how this is true in our own practices as well. A therapist or coach is there to help the client help themselves and the client must be an active participant. Listen and learn how clients have a responsibility in their own treatment.
