God's heart has always been to create in His light. The creation of the human race, beginning from Adam was done in God's light until man, with his free choice, took sides with the outliers. Despite this decision by the first Adam, the God-Father still goes ahead to bring mankind to His side such that “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for the ungodly.”
Despite the fall, God demonstrates His desire for us to stay on His side so intensely that it had to be asked, “What is man, that you are mindful of him?” It had to be that God had chosen to impute righteousness instead of imputing the sin of the human race. The righteousness that we have become is imputed righteousness. No wonder David describes the blessed man to be the one to whom God does not impute sin!
