You Run Podcast, Horror Movie Review

Hillbilly heaven!

Today's episode is an absolute blast of silly goofy behaviour that fully mimics the film that we are reviewing.

Wrong Turn is the most basic of premise. Teens go wandering off the beaten path, Teens get attacked by Hillbillies, some die in horrific ways and a few outsmart the attackers (I will add the main cast are one brain cell above the Hilbillies in this movie)

Don't let this basic premise fool you into thinking this is a bad movie though because both me and Marc had a riot with this film.

We also have a tone of production facts and features and games. This episode is a real fun one!

Time to dive into the only Scream movie we haven't covered with Scream 2.

We see Ghostface leave the comforts of Woodsboro and follow Sidney and Randy to college. We also see Dewey and Gale return to help solve the case.

We bring you our review of this film, production facts, a lot of laughing and so much more. You really don't want to miss this one!

Time to dive into the neon drenched mind of Rob Zombie this week as Marc gushes about a film that holds a very special place for him.

For me what I thought was a long overdue rewatch turned out to be a first watch (I know revoke that horror card immediately). Turned out I didn't like it, in fact I went as far to say that I hated this...

This episode is tough as I wanted to keep respectful as not to upset Marc, that didn't happen!

hilarious episode full of laughter and a rather irate Marc but definitely not one to miss.

That's not my Clarice...

Well it may not be Marc's but I personally prefer Julianne Moore. I also seem to like this film more than Marc but not by a lot...

In an episode I thought we would be super divided instead we seemed to be on the same page. We appreciated many elements of the film with others falling flat or simply being done better in the novel or the Hannibal TV series.

This is a strange episode to promote, as it was excellent but not explosive as I expected which left us with a respectful and balanced review with zero arguments...

What do we know you may like the new zen hosting team.

Today is a dive in to Zach Cregger's Weapons a film that seems to have divided audiences and me and Marc.

While many think it is a masterclass in modern horror others call it a mismatch of ideas that do not link together correctly.

Whatever it is, it has made for excellent conversation as we dive into what we liked and what we didn't.

We get your opinions too in voicemails and messages, share production facts and continue the unbeatable game.

In the late 2000's torture horror movies had become the fad. SAW and Hostel led the way and everyone else tried to imitate and ride their success.

The Collector is one of these films but for some reason has stood the test of time and is still loved and held in super high regard.

The plot follows a thief called Arkin as he attempts to rob his employers. Unfortunately for him he chose the night the serial killer in a gimp mask decided to kill the family too...

What follows is a cat and mouse game full of traps that would make Kevin McCallister jealous!

In this episode we share out thoughts on The Collector, discuss some production facts and dissect what we think didn't make a whole lot of sense. We also check our very full voicemail and mock Marc for a recent accident that made us record this episode super late.

In this revisited episode we go back to cover a film that impacted cinema in a very unique way.

We have covered this way back but long before Marc joined the show Scott's opinions are well known on this film while Marc could be a wildcard here.

A deep dive into the film, the behind the scenes awaits along with a game for you all to play along with and a lot of voicemails from listeners too.

This episode is possibly one of the most information packed episodes we have done in recent memory.

"Kate Rules" month starts now where our wonderful Patreon member has taken over! Not gonna lie she has kicked things off with a banger as we dive into Paris Hilton's second most popular film House Of Wax!

This episode is packed with a review of this super underappreciated slasher, film facts, voicemails from listeners and the game that none of you seem to be able to crack.

Not to mention a tone of laughter and something that filled me and Marc with nostalgia.

Following the surprise hit Talk To Me the Philippou Brothers return with their latest and most terrifying horror flick.

This film takes a very different tone to their first outing opting for a darker much more emotional narrative that honestly cerates a huge amount of tension and anxiety while watching.

We follow Piper and Andy as they find them selves living with a suburban necromancer foster mum after the death of their father and as you would expect things go sideways quickly.

As always this is a super balance review as me and Marc were unable to find common ground on this, we also have your views thrown into the mix for good measure.
