There is something powerful that many believers still struggle to fully understand about following Jesus Christ. Christianity is not only about receiving salvation for ourselves. It is also about becoming vessels of love, forgiveness, prayer, and mercy for other people. That is the true heart of the gospel.In John 20:21-23, Jesus told His disciples, “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” Then He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” Right after this, He began speaking about forgiveness. That connection matters deeply. Jesus was showing that being filled with the Spirit also means learning how to forgive, pray for people, and intercede for others the same way He intercedes for us.
