Whats up guys! We made it to double digits!
Its just your boys this episode and we're talking about our new single Define Alive and all the stories we got surrounding it. The video shoot, recording it, and other tracks in the studio with our producer Sam Guaiana. We also touch on NEW MERCH, album art of our up coming EP, what we know about the massive new Oshawa music venue coming in 2021, and talking a lot in "drum". All this and more this episode. Thanks for sticking with us.
On this episode of YTA:
We try out our first virtual episode with the frontman of pop punk band Incase We Crash; Simon Austin.
This episode is filled with lots of laughs... mostly at the fact the video was freezing so much lol... Between laughs we talked about how we all write songs, Incase We Crash's newest record Soul Paint, studio time with Sam Guianna, the importance of having an online presents as a band in a pandemic, finding the right band members to start a band with and more.
On this episode of YTA:
We sit down with the creator of Clovercast, and one of our best friends Lee Ibanez. Lee has been a good friend of ours for quite sometime, and has been our tech for about a year now. The former We Are X frontman started a cool emo-pop project called Clovercast, and just dropped a new single called "0:00". We talk about the single, the meaning of Clovercast, his transition from making pop-punk to straight up pop, influences like 5 Seconds Of Summer and Marianas Trench, our favourite shower songs and more.
This was a fun one for us, we hope it is for you too.
You, The Artist is back! Thanks for being patient with us this last week guys. We hope everyone has been keeping well. Super stoked on this new episode as we have Zakk Abrams and Aidan Stoddard of the post-hardcore band, Hotknives. They are the two main vocalists for the Hamilton, Canada, based outfit and we were happy to have them come down and join us. The guys gave some insight on their history of playing music and what influenced their direction as artists. After we dove into what it has been like touring around Canada and the U.S., playing in previous bands and now focusing solely on their current band Hotknives. We talked about SCREAMING and the importance and complexity of this art in music. They told us why they love writing heavy tracks, and how Zakk had his vehicle stolen and then was investigated for arson. Theres a ton of other topics we’re certain you’ll dig in this episode- especially that last one!
Stream Hotknives on all major music platforms and follow them now on all media @hotknivesband.
Thanks for listening and if you’re new this week, welcome!
This week on YTA:
Its us four fools again! No guests, just us.
We're talking about our favourite albums of ALL TIME, and our musical influences. Get to know the four homies behind your favourite underground post-hardcore band from the north end of Oshawa ON Canada a little bit more. We talk reasons we starting loving music, the reasons we started playing live music, and A LOT of mouth instruments. Bands like Three Days Grace, Green Day, Alexisonfire, Underoath, and tons more come up in the conversation.
Do you agree with us? What are some of your favourite records? Lets us know!
Episode Numba Five. Thanks for sticking with us through the first handful! Today on You, The Artist we featured our very good friend, Roberto Spadafora. Rob is a musician, full-time videographer, and a hell of a lad. We dove into a ton of stuff here. Topics surrounding his style of shooting video and where/whom his influence derives from, his first camera from Shoppers Drug Mart, Harry Potter for a while, how dope Transit is, MGK vs Eminem, past memories/how we all met, and what it was like being a rockstar singer in his band Parkside and how that came to fruition. Go stream them everywhere.
We were lucky enough to work Rob during the filming of our "Terra Firma" music video, as well as wicked future content we may have discussed on this episode. We are stoked to have him join us for this one. To see all of Rob's killer work, or to even hire the guy- please check out https://www.spadproductions.com
All love.
On this episode of You, The Artist, we got together with a very good friend of ours, Conor Gray. We discuss his life growing up into the musician that he is, touring with all these wicked bands, how he REALLY began tour photography, his wicked band hailing from Ontario, Canada- Certainty, and lastly some of the best moments in life that have only been brought through music. Music is an amazing and universal part of our lives. Funny enough, it's the reason Conor's on this one with us. We have a few laughs and kick back at home with some more Corona's in hand.
Enjoy!

Funny stories, dirty venues, and awful porn names. On this episode of You, The Artist, we talk about what it's like on the road together. Our best and worst experiences on our first tour, and all the things we did better on our next one. The grind is real and if driving 16 hours straight, brushing our teeth in the middle of downtown New Brunswick and getting yelled at, napping in the middle of a park, and all four of us sleeping on one bed together doesn't show you that, I don't know what will.
