Possessed (1931) is one of Joan's most memorable pre-code films, and one of her best films with co-star and real life lover, Clark Gable. In this episode, Gabriela and her guest, Gwenda Young, author of "Clarence Brown" Hollywood's Forgotten Master", discuss what makes Joan's performance so evocative, Adrian's beautiful costumes and Clarence Brown's signature directorial touch. Surely You Won't Forget Joan, or what it means to be a woman in a man's world.I'd like to thank Gwenda for agreeing to being on the show and for being such a passionate and insightful guest.
