  • Visit Dominica
In this episode of our podcast we will be talking about Dominica. Not the Dominican Republic. All stemming from Herbert, a Dominican, hosting a study abroad student in his country and home.
First off, we will be talking about hosting the study abroad student. Herbert has had this experience and we will be delving into the details of what motivated him to host a student, what he observed to be the most shocking thing for the student about their experience in Dominica, what they enjoyed the most about the country, and some of the lessons they shared with our guest.
Our guest also ensured that the student had some of the local experience that they hoped all visitors to Dominica would have. We will be exploring some of those experiences and how they impacted the student's overall experience and how they can impact yours as well!
We also explore what makes Dominica a destination that you should consider visiting. From the island's natural beauty, culture, and unique experiences, we will be breaking down all the reasons why Dominica should be on your travel list.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy this exciting and informative episode with Herbert and Asshur, from the Nature Isles.

  • Hello Zanzibar
As the crew journey from Dar es Salaam, they take the over a 2-hour ferry ride to Zanzibar. BTW, the ferry ride would run you about $35. Bring cash,  most places are cardless, and you will need to visit some of the limited ATMs on the island if you don't have cash. They reviewed the Airbnb, which was on the beach, and included the option for a private chef, who cooked for them on one of the nights they stayed in Zanzibar.
The crew gave rave reviews of the excursion they did with  Safari Blue Zanzibar.  Asshur states that this was one of, if not the best, excursions that he's had. The spread of food was one of the highlights of this excursion.  Do not forget to visit the famed Rock Restaurant. It is an experience you will never forget, with breathtaking views that will be etched in your memory.
Furthermore, Stone Town is a must. Please make sure that you stay here maybe a few days, and explore. We stayed at Shoki Shoki House; it was not a bad experience, it is not luxurious but it was nice. If not here, there are tons of other places to select from.  This hotel was centrally located to everything, particularly where you can see the famed guys jumping off the jetty. It is a must-see.  Do a walking tour and also visit the Slave Market; this sacred space is both emotional and educational.
    Enjoy!
