To ‘let go’ you have to have a handle on these aspects:

💎 Retiring from micromanaging and nagging - leave them to it

💎 Handing Over - over years not weeks, helping them take it on, asking if they need or want any help and then leaving them to it.

💎 Getting yourselves out of the way - it’s not your life and they are not your project to achieve

Letting go, at the right time, is win-win parenting.

The main thing is to empower your relationship with your child and harmonise your relationship with gaming itself if you are demonising it as an activity and clashing with your teenager over boundaries relating to their general screen time.
