Sarbjeet Singh is currently in his third year of Bachelors of Civil Engineering (HONOURS). Sarbjeet is highly ambitious in relation to his future as he wants to be one of the leading voices of the Civil Engineering industry. He is currently working with the City of Greater Geelong as an Undergraduate Stormwater Engineer. Along with his part time work with the City, he has kept a balance between his University study commitments and volunteering and leadership positions.
Sarbjeet is currently serving as an Ambassador for Study Geelong and Deakin University. He has recently been elected as a Campus Coordinator for Geelong Campuses of his University. Owing to Sarbjeet’s contribution to the University programs in the past and current roles, he has been awarded with the Students Helping Students (SHS) award by Deakin University which is the highest level student leadership award by Deakin.
Sarbjeet is also an often presenter on many events and activities and enjoys Public Speaking. He is a person who believes in networking and learning from others. He really enjoys talking to high achievers and sharing experiences with them. While it may seem impossible to manage a lot of things, Sarbjeet believes that having a growth mindset with proactive thinking can make it possible and lead you to high heights. One advice that Sarbjeet gives to himself and to others is that ‘Growth never happens in a comfort zone’, so work on yourself and ensure that you are at least 1% better than yesterday.
