It's always a good day when I can talk about NXT. And in this episode of the Young Lion's Perspective, we're talking about the episode of NXT UK after Takeover: Blackpool and the main event tag match between Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews taking the European connection of Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel. They say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. So we're bringing the good, the bad and the ugly that was NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool. I will give you my thoughts on what I thought about the show as a whole and also give you my overall grade of the show, my Match of the Night, and the unfortunate case of handing out my Worst Match of the Night award. But before I get into all of the fun stuff, I open up the show talking about the situation that occurred last week with Lars Sullivan reportedly having an anxiety attack prior to his dark match on RAW in Orlando last Monday. You know there's nothing better than a really good preview and predictions segment and I finally get the chance to talk my first ever predictions for NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool this Saturday! I break down every match and try my best to go 5-0 for the first go-around in 2019. I then go across the Atlantic and go in-depth to talk about last night's episode of NXT including the double main event with Nikki Cross taking on the UN-DE-FEA-TED #1 contender to the NXT Women's Championship, Bianca Belair, while Adam Cole looks to seek revenge on EC3 after his loss to the Top 1% many weeks ago. I finally get the chance to talk about Wrestle Kingdom 13 with you guys and i'm doing it with a bit of a twist. Episode 40 of the Young Lion's Perspective kicks out by discussing the All Elite Wrestling rally that went down in Jacksonville yesterday. I give my thoughts on who they have initially signed, the Double or Nothing show going down on May 25th, the possible TV deal they could get in the future, and the future of Kenny Omega. I then talk about the good, the bad and the ugly that was Wrestle Kingdom 13 including what I thought about the double main event matches with Chris Jericho vs Tetsuya Naito and Kenny Omega vs Hiroshi Tanahashi and what I thought about the card as a whole. Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed their New Year's festivities, but it's time to get back in the swing of things and give you the first episode of the Young Lion's Perspective of 2019! Episode 39 begins with a tribute to the passing of an icon in the professional wrestling industry, "Mean" Gene Okerlund. He passed away early Wednesday morning at the age of 76. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Okerlund family.
