I think what my neighbors and I do is a noble profession. We care deeply about the land. Most of the time our livestock’s wellbeing comes before our own. We see value and purpose to all living creatures. And at the heart of it all, we feed people. We grow food to feed our neighbors, our country, and even the world.

One of my kids’ favorite winter breakfast meals is a steaming bowl of oatmeal! There is nothing more satisfying on a cold morning, right?!? We must not be alone. The United States is the #2 global consumer of oats.

What is at the top of our list of worries today? Ukraine. Russia has 150,000 troops surrounding Ukraine. By the time you hear this radio program, we may know if Russia is really going to invade Ukraine. President Biden and Russian President Putin have agreed to meet this coming Sunday. We need to work out some kind of compromise.
